Databases and Caches
Small Databases share Data Capacity; larger ones run on their own. Each Database has its own disk.

Dedicated Databases offer 2 vCPU / 4 GB, 4 vCPU / 8 GB, and 8 vCPU / 16 GB at 1×, 2× and 4× the base rate. Engine and replication support vary by provider.
- Shared
- One small Database uses a whole 2 vCPU / 4 GB Data Capacity unit; more Databases share it until it's full. The monthly BYOC credit covers eligible management fees, for Shared and Dedicated instances. Your provider bills the infrastructure separately.
- Standbys and replicas
- Each adds a dedicated charge and its own disk. A 2 vCPU / 4 GB primary and matching standby cost $20.00 per 30 days.
